Basic Information:

Code: Mythos describes a set of magical beings linked by mythology. Real-world mythology is the basis of it, though on a case-by-case basis, a Code: Mythos wolf may also be partially based upon created mythology, such as is found in pop culture and the media. These special cases are typically determined based on viability of the pop culture mythos and any real-world mythos to match up appropriately. Any questions concerning this magical being should be fielded to Arsene.

Gods, heroes, and the stuff of legend from various pantheons and religions the world over are applicable to this magical being type. Powers are based upon their canon counterparts (and, in special cases, potentially their viable second counterpart, as well). All powers will be nerfed to "powerplay is by mutual consent only" to make things fair, yet still leave room for fun plots.

Breeding:

Children of Code: Mythos wolves will have a 40-50% chance of inheriting a diminished version of their parent’s power (unless these children were plotted/paid for/etc/whatever to be actual canon children who have their own mythos). Grandchildren (even if their parents did not inherit powers) will have a 15-25% chance of inheriting appropriately diminished powers; any beyond this will have a 5-10% chance of inheriting special appearance nodes (such as winged feet for a descendent of Hermes, or horns for a descendent of Cernnunos), but no powers.

Code: Mythos is not a specific-breed bloodline. This means that any wolf, any breed, can be a member of Code: Mythos, even if their parents are not; however one does not simply say their wolf is a Code: Mythos wolf. All Code: Mythos wolves must be bought/gifted/born/etcetera from those with appropriate reason and ability to do so (for instance, if a person doesn't have a Code: Mythos wolf to breed for a half-breed or plotted full-blood with their own mythos, then you can't get one from them). Also, all Code: Mythos full-blood wolves' players must pm Arsene to make sure their wolves' mythology is allowable and to add their wolves to the list, so that their cannons can be linked to them for others to read. Any Code: Mythos wolf that is a full-blood born in-game (or born out of game with in game parents, for instance) will be considered a reincarnation of the original god[dess]/hero[ine]/etcetera upon which their particular mythos is based around. (Joined full-bloods can also be joined as reincarnations; specifying this when discussing with Arsene will be appreciated).

More Information:

*Code: Mythos is a semi-closed "bloodline". All full-bloods must be approved by Arsene as part of the "bloodline".
*The names of the Code: Mythos wolves do not have to match up to their canon counterparts, but can if the name is not already taken/in-use.
*For all unanswered questions, please pm Arsene; this Book of the Code will be updated to reflect the needed updates.
